Rootstock is Live on Jumper!

We’re excited to announce that

Rootstock

, the first Bitcoin sidechain, is live on Jumper. Users can now effortlessly bridge to Rootstock from 14+ chains and L2s, and start exploring the opportunities in the ecosystem.

What is Rootstock?

Known as the first Bitcoin sidechain, Rootstock is cryptographically connected to the Bitcoin blockchain. It uses a trustless and censorship resistant two-way peg to allow users to send Bitcoin directly to the Rootstock chain which is then converted into

smart Bitcoins (RBTC)

on the Rootstock blockchain. These RBTC can be used to deploy or to interact with smart contracts and dApps on the Rootstock blockchain.

Interest in Rootstock has been growing, as shown by the Total Value Locked (TVL) on the chain. According to

DefiLlama

, the TVL on Rootstock has shown a strong upward trend over the last few months, indicating increasing confidence and participation in the Rootstock ecosystem.

Bitcoin DeFi is Expanding with L2s like Rootstock

The Bitcoin ecosystem is growing with new L2s like Rootstock, which enable Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatibility. This integration allows Bitcoin to support smart contracts, dApps, and DeFi protocols, increasing utility and adoption. These improvements transform Bitcoin from a mere store of value to a versatile platform for decentralized finance.

Jumper plays a crucial role by offering bridge and swap transactions across Rootstock and other chains. By aggregating liquidity and providing the best routes, Jumper ensures seamless transfers between these ecosystems.

By bridging to Rootstock through Jumper, users can access new-age DeFi protocols such as

MoneyOnChain

(Decentralized Stablecoin),

Oku

(DEX), and

Sovryn

(Money Market), and be early to the booming DeFi ecosystem on Bitcoin.

Make the jump to Rootstock with Jumper and take advantage of the exciting opportunities in a rapidly growing Bitcoin DeFi ecosystem

Bridge on Jumper today!
